  1. Fabulous photos of stunning location! My partner and I lived in Vietnam for a year with our two dogs–even took my Maltese swimming Halong Bay. I’ll drop back by to give you the link to my post with shots of Lucy (my dog) swimming in the bay.

  2. Great photos. I especially like the composition of the second shot. The way the lines point up to the fruit on the top boat – beautiful.

  3. Beautiful pictures! I regret that I didn’t make it to Halong Bay on my trip to Vietnam. Next time! Congrats on being FP!

    • At the moment, yes, but I’m adding new posts; relaying from a diary. It’s mainly about Vietnam but also includes the travel to the country, and back, from China.

  5. I remember seeing Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May of Top Gear looking for a bar that is nestled amongst the tall stony peaks that stand along in the water. Nature is amazing. And those people are as well, to live and survive on the water like that.

Great shots! Something you don’t always see in travel brochures or magazines.

  6. One of my most favourite places in the world. I love Halong bay.
I went caving there a couple of years ago, which was really incredible. If you get the chance, seriously, take it up.
And there is nothing quite like sailing throughout all of those incredible islands.
Great shots – thank you for the great reminder 🙂

  7. Hello! What I am going to post has nothing to do with your post, but I have no place else to go. I’m taking part in a photography competition, and I need a lot of votes. My main opponent in the competition has posted a photo that has nothing extraordinary about it, and I really don’t want him to win just because he has more votes than I have. So I ask you from the bottom of my heart to spread the word around and to vote this photograph of mine, giving it a LIKE. Thank you very much! http://www.clubulfoto.com/concurs/concurs-foto-amintirile-iernii/ebcda128

  8. While still in high school I had the opportunity to go to Vietnam for two weeks. And it was the best two weeks of my life. During my stay there I went to Halong Bay and it was so incredibly beautiful. Looking at your pictures just brought back memories of my wonderful time there. It makes me so happy to know that other people are experiencing Vietnam as well. Great pictures!

    • I’m not quite sure what he means because “The Man with the Golden Gun” was filmed in Thailand… not Vietnam 🙂

      Nice pictures though!

    • What a beautiful place to be from. I hope you appreciate living there as much as I am appreciative of the chance to see such a magnificent town.

  9. Now I wonder .. how many people that get to see those photos would actually do something to get there? I believe we’re way stuck in our “jobs”, while drastic change of life is not that hard .. what makes us trully happy? The fact that we can enjoy cable, drinks in the weekend and a holiday once/year (lately not even that) .. or living in harmony with nature, living simple ?
